Tonight's Cockermouth show cancelled due to snow
We are very sorry to say that due to the extreme weather conditions of heavy snow and high winds tonight's show in The Kirkgate Centre, Cockermouth has been cancelled.
We'll aim to re-schedule this show as soon as possible.
New Scottish Hymns Tour
Emily will be performing three shows in March as part of a tour to promote an album titled 'New Scottish Hymns'. Commissioned by New Scottish Arts, Scotland's leading Christian arts ministry, New Scottish Hymns is a collection of new songs by Scottish hymn-writers, traditional Scottish hymns with fresh melodies, psalm adaptations and paraphrases and heartfelt, articulate songs of worship.

Phil Cunningham's 'My Life in Five Songs'
Emily will be Phil Cunningham's guest on his BBC Radio Scotland series 'My Life in Five Songs' on Thursday 14th February. Broadcast live at 14:05 and repeated on Sunday 17th February at 06.03 you can hear Emily chat to Phil about her career, influences and five songs that marked milestones along the way.

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PLANS
Emily celebrates her 10th anniverary as a full time folkie in 2013 and to mark this has two special projects coming your way.
To accompany the album will be the Emily Smith songbook which features Emily's original and versions of traditonal songs from the last ten years. The songbook will be launched at a show in Lochside Theatre, Castle Douglas on Friday 8th March.
Two New Celtic Connections Dates Announced
As well as the Transatlantic Sessions shows Emily has two additional appearances at Celtic Connections in 2013.
On Monday 28th January she'll be dropping in to sing a couple of songs at Celtic Connections 'Box & Fiddle' night at The Mitchell Library Theatre.
On Sat 2nd Feb Emily and band will share the bill with Shetland's Fiddler's Bid for a show in the main auditorium of Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall.

Transatlantic Sessions Tour 2013
We are delighted to announce that Emily will be part of the Transatlantic Sessions tour of the UK in February 2013 kicking off with two shows in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall as part of Celtic Connections Festival. Described as "the jewel in the crown of the festival" Transatlantic Sessions features a host of the finest Celtic and Americana musicians.

Emily heads off on a European tour tomorrow with a run of dates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As well as solo shows she will perform various double and triple bill shows. The Esslingen date on 23rd Seoptember is a double bill with Scottish band Old Blind Dogs.
