Dear Emily,
Dear Jamie,

Thank you so much for the terrific concert yesterday in Bremen.
We originally had missed you when we went to Scotland in 2005. All of these wonderful people we met recommenddto go to your concert these days but we left a day before.
Then got your first CD and thought we have missed something. Since yesterday we have experienced what we missed so far.
Your clear voice, that close to intimate atmosphere, heebie-jeebies...:o))

Not to forget the fun both of you showing living and loving your -our- music.
So, we enjoyed the new CD on our long and rainy way home to Hamburg and cannot wait to see you again.
You are not by chance somewhere near Edinburgh end of August?
Regards, Markus & Susanne

We were thrilled by your music at Crawfordjohn on Saturday. It really was a memorable occassion and we feel very privileged to have been there. The entire 'Crawfordjohn experience' was excellent, the beautiful music and fine hospitality will live with us always. We are very much looking forward to the next gig that we can make it to, and please let us know when you are anywhere near our vicinity. It was lovely to meet you both and very many 'best wishes' for the future from us.

Hi Emily, my wife - (a Muslim Serb from Novi Pazar, South Serbia)- and I just had to look you up online after seeing you on 'Auld Lang Syne.' We are now very firmly Emily Smith fans, and we will research your CD's tomorrow. Tonight we checked You Tube and went through all 'your stuff' there. Absolutely brilliant, and your magical musical ability coupled with the undoubted musical talents of your accompanying musicians and great arrangements, are a real joy to listen to. Very many 'Best Wishes' to you Emily, and to Jamie and the other musicians. 'Great stuff', and here's to much - much more. Davie and Alma Munro.

Hi Emly,

Just attended Auld Lang Syne to celebrate Rabbie's 250th Birthday at Celtic Connections.
Nice to meet you & Jamie again.
That truly was the most special music event I ever attended. You brought Rabbie's songs into the 21st century.
See you on tour.

Dear Emily,

woke up this morning, and my radio alarm clock (tuned in on "Deutschlandradio Kultur")played "Caledonia". Gave me instant goosebumps. First flash was that it might be Fairport Convention (very much beloved by me), but in a way it sounded too fresh, and of course obviously scottish. Thanks to the the benefit of internet, I soon learned who made this wonderful music. You really gave my day a good start, and I will be glad if you ever embark on a tour to Germany (preferably to the north). There are lots of people here who dig scottish music, our City has its own Pipe and Drum Band, and host one of the biggest higland gatherings outside Scotland every year! So, thank you again for your wonderful music, Heinrich

Amazing, amazing... Your album A Different Life lulls my baby to sleep like nothing else - he's heard it ever since utero!

I wonder if you have ever been in contact with Anne Briggs. I met her on a romantic sojourn to Kerrera Isle in Scotland, near Oban. You are an inheritor of her magic.

Thank you for the soul of your music.
